In terms of something else: My viewers are invited to think about themslves may have overlooked desturction as they would have considered it something else. Im hoping my images will inspire the audience to think about something of theirs that was destroyed, something personal, something that left them feeling victimized; and then I want them to consider the motifs of the destroyer.
Within a particular genre: The genre's of my photographs very greatly, but all depict different stages of the "life cycle" of some entity. I looked through my photographs to see if I could give a single genre that covered at least the majority of the images, but they are so varied I dont think its possible.
In light of personal observation: Becasue every person has their own value system I expect a somewhat different reaction from each. Even in an audiene of only a few students at he same school, there is likely some degree of disagreement regarding the destroyers true intentions. I think its much harder for some to see the world as unjustly as needed to understand the idea im trying to support.
In the company of others: The mor epeople that view the images at the same time the greater the chance of clashing opinions to be heard. Hopefully this will allow for some debate, and at the very least encourage some critical thinking. Im hoping to say/show some concepts that may offend certain audience members, but this will only inspire more critical analysis of the concepts that drive the presentation.
